Alan epitomises what a student
should be, dedicated hard working and above all loyal.Alan's first taste of martial
arts was not in the North Wes but in his home town, Washington, in Sunderland. He started in 1971.
Asking Alan why he started martial arts, he said fitness,agility and general health.
When you join NWCKB you are joining a well run and professionally taught group of clubs thanks
to Alan's hard work as an instructor and organiser.

At 20 stone and over 6Ft it's unlikely you will miss Winston Holness.
Winston is the longest serving of all the NWCKB instructors, in fact Chris
Boughey says he may be one of the first students he taught in Manchester.
Throughout the years Winston has fought in many tournaments fighting alongside
Chris in the Lau Gar Select team, winning and placing in many events.

Dave began training in traditional Lau Gar Kung Fu, but went over to Kickboxing,
with the advice of Chris Boughey.
Dave explains:"I loved the traditional side of training for self defence and body conditioning,
but I wanted something more suitable for my fitness level and strength, so I trained with Chris
Boughey in kickboxing, and didn't look back."

Donna manages the Woman´s Kickboxing club.
She has trained with Chief Instructor,Chris
Boughey, since 1989 and is currently training
towards her 5th degree black belt which
will incorporate more traditional martial arts
and weapon training.

achieved their black belts continue to train on a
regular basis,which says a lot about the enjoyment

David has been training with NWCKB for 20 years
now and combines both sides of the association.
He is a 3rd Degree Black Sash in Lau Gar Kung Fu and
a 4th Degree Black Belt in Kick Boxing.
Through the years he has taught at virtually every club
in the association. If he's not taking the class, chances
are he'll be at the back training along side you!

A regular member of the squad, he also takes sections on
the annual courses, including weapons, and helps run the
junior instructor courses.

Rick has trained for 18 years with North West Chinese Kickboxing and is currently a 3rd Degree
Black Belt.
Rick has won the following Titles:
2 British titles WKA/WKC
World Silver – 1996 Malta
Double World Bronze – 2009 Ireland.

| He was the WKA – British team coach 2006 in Spain, and is the
current fight coach for North West Chinese Kickboxing.
